Job summary

Part of the OPC-FTO Loan Operations teams located in New York and Mumbai, in coordination with Business Support groups, the Workflow Coordinator is responsible to animate resources to ensure pro-efficiently the productivity and quality of the Loan Operations platform (including creations and periodic review as required with the Team Manager)

The Workflow Coordinator is also in responsible for:

-        The management of the local referential for US and of some processes related to the Data management unit for US

-       Workflow coordination and production validation of a team under the local responsibility of the Team Manager, functional responsibility of the Head of FTO-Loan Operations in New York and of daily administration and servicing of loans where CACIB acts in a Participant, Agent or Direct Lender role.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

Day-to-day Tasks and Operations

·       Administering Drawdowns, Rollovers, Repayments, Pre-payments, Funding, Rate-Fixings, Fees and Commission posting, External payments, collection of interest, Nostro Reconciliations, general administration related to the loans portfolio managed along with undertaking ADHOC queries and investigations, monitoring all associated data under responsibility of the unit

·       Validate captures, events and payments processed by other members of the team (clerks or eventually other validators)

 

Act in Leadership Role with Focus on Team Development

·       Provide guidance to other members of the team regarding technical loans administration subjects, provide regular coaching to loans administrator

·       Actively assist in the training and development of less experienced members of the team with on-the-job training, coaching and development

·       Motivate and inspire team members by setting a good example (role model) - behavior consistent with words

·       Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

 

Data Quality Management & Controls

·       Ensure compliance with all necessary controls and procedures in respect of local regulations of branches serviced

·       Responsibility to escalate any issues/problems or control gaps to their Team Leader

·       Responsibility of daily controls (as a back-up of team leader when he/she is away)

 

Process Improvement & Projects

·       Undertake ADHOC duties and project work to assist the Management team

·       When necessary assist the management team in the enhancement of systems, notably Users Acceptance Tests (UAT)

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities:

 

·       Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Canadian platform policies, the Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

o   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields related to Business, Management, Information technology, or a related discipline

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Experience

o   5 to 7 years of experience in commercial banking operations - ACBS Experience preferred

o   Experience managing the daily workflow of other staff members/coordination of daily tasks

o   Sound knowledge of general banking operations (to include Accounting, Funding Nostro movements and Cash management

o   Experience of Loans Administration and the ability to understand terms and conditions of loans contracts

o   Sound knowledge of general banking operations (to include Accounting, Funding Nostro movements and Cash management

Required skills

o   Proficient in using CA-CIB loans, payments and other systems (training will be provided), literate in MS Office suite (Word and Excel)

o   Problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to loans operations

o   Be able to operate in “project mode” i.e. contribute to projects run by IT (mainly UAT sessions)

o   Communication: Communicating clearly and concisely, tailoring content and style, promoting free-flowing communication with others
