Job summary

Team and Position
We are seeking a talented Support Analyst with a strong aptitude for programming to join our dynamic Capital Market IT department!
In this role, you will not only provide exceptional technical support but also actively contribute to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our support processes. Your programming expertise will allow you to be instrumental in developing custom solutions in turn automating tasks, streamlining workflows, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Capital Market IT involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and Regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API’s, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.

Main Responsibilities
Application monitoring responsibilities
•Define and implement in coordination with the build team the needed application monitoring.
•Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user request by working closely with project, infrastructure and production teams.
•Support overnight batches which take place during the Singapore Morning and early afternoon time to ensure that problems are swiftly analyzed and resolved to minimize down-time.
•Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality of risk chain in which the activity is usually more intense on monthly run.
Incidents and Requests management (from business users and other IT teams)
•Provide level 1 and level 2 application support to business users (trader, risk manager, market risk monitoring operator, back-office and middle-office analyst, market data administrator, …)
•Analyze and manage incidents/problems/requests.
Problem Management and continuous improvement
•Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the application in the scope of the team in coordination with the build team and the ops team.
•Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of the problem and follow-up the resolution, even contributing to the definition of long-term solution.
•Provide non-functional requirement to the build team to implement monitoring as code whenever available.
Automated solution programming
•Write and maintain programmable code outlined in technical instructions and specifications for software applications and operating systems.

The Support Analyst should have a pro-active mindset in security, incident preventive measures, productivity and global improvement of the quality of service. Candidate should have a strong appetite in the capital market functional business.

Supplementary Information

Profile and Qualifications
•Candidates should have 4+ years experience in application support activity.
•ITIL certification.
•Good understanding of Capital Markets Domain and market activities.
•Sound Knowledge on Regulatory Reporting (MAS, HKMA, EMIR, JFSA, CFTC, MIFID)
•Exposure to the Capital Markets with proficiency in financial instruments (Bonds, Rates, Equity, etc..), trading lifecycle and market data.
•Relevant experience with working with external source like Bloomberg, Reuters.
•Good Understanding of ITIL Concepts.
•Proven experience in technical proficiency with strong skills in SQL.
•Basic Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and any cloud platform.
•Basic Understanding on NO-SQL DB.
•High level of proficiency in Unix/Linux, PowerShell scripting.
•Should be able to do

•Appetite for continuous improvement and automation.
•Strong knowledge in XML, PL/SQL, MQ, CFT and Control-M, Kafka.
•Knowledge of monitoring and Observability solutions (E.g. ITRS Geneos, Elastic Search, Grafana)
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
•Ability to work well under pressure.
•Autonomous, self-motivated and excellent team player.
•Strong perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management

The candidate should have analytical and problem solving skills, a pro-active mind-set in security, proven ability to work individually under pressure. Team player with good interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
All candidates, but particularly seniors, will be held to high a standard when it comes to communication, both oral and written. You should have good expository style, be able to explain yourself clearly and concisely

•Shift rotation: 5PM to 2AM SGT
•Rotational Weekend support
