Summary

 

As part of Project management and Innovation team, Senior project manager is in charge of:

·         Managing a portfolio of strategic IT projects in Americas

·         Supporting local business lines and support functions in Americas in their project implementation

·         Ensuring proper project governance and adherence to Global GIT project management methodology

 

Key Responsibilities

·         End to end management of multiple business and IT projects including mission critical, strategic, complex and high investment projects over their life cycle starting from feasibility analysis, project initiation, planning, execution, testing to its closure

·         Stakeholder management: Close coordination with stakeholders and managing expectation of various business groups and support functions including Sales and Trading, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Finance and IT across global locations throughout the project

·         Budget management: Monitor project budgets and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.

·         Reporting: Extensive project status reporting via project & steering committees, and progress presentations to senior management globally

·         Assist business analysis for certain critical projects to ensure accurate requirement gathering and coordination with development teams for effective implementation

·         Global coordination with various IT and operations teams across US, Brazil, Europe and India for requirement gathering, budget estimation and planning for the project, milestone monitoring, testing and ensure timely execution of project deliverables

·         Risk management: Identification of potential risks, timely escalation and mitigation planning to ensure project success

·         Act as a local point of contact for assigned projects for Head office teams

·         Actively work on continuously improving the environment and bring efficiencies to either improve quality, time to deliver or reduce cost.

·         Ensure adherence to the System Project Life Cycle (SPLC) and Global GIT project management methodology and produce or assist in the production of key deliverables defined by the SPLC.

·         Ensure that all system implementations meet US regulatory standards (inclusive of cybersecurity requirements) and are done in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.

·         Collaborate with NY Internal Auditors in their pre-implementation review.

·         Promote Global IT’s values and visions of “1 Team” across all functions and geographical locations.

Any external provider involved in projects as well as the Head Office teams.

SPECIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS: 
·         Experience in project management in the banking industry would be preferred
·         Good analytical and presentation skills

  • Support function for Capital Markets or Investment banking activities (in IT or other department)
     

 

  • Project management certification (PMP)

 

  • Management.

 

  • Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Visio, Power Point, Word
