Job summary

Key Responsibilities

 

1.     Day-to-Day Structuring & Execution / Transaction Management

·       Assist in the structuring and execution of securitization transactions (warehouse and term ABS) for the Special Situations vertical in the US & Canada.

o   Special Situations assets include Art Loans, Leveraged Loans, Future Flow, Collateralized Fund Obligations, and other Esoterics

·       Coordinate with the Securitization Quant team to conduct financial modeling for new transactions and facility renewals. 

·       Legal document review and negotiation of key terms with clients, lawyers, rating agencies and other external and internal groups as part of the structuring and execution process.

·       Participate in the preparation of credit submissions and Q&A processes with credit, legal, and other CACIB internal stakeholders, as part of the Bank’s transaction evaluation process.

·       Support the ongoing reporting / monitoring of the booked portfolio (including evaluating performance, and responding to amendment and ad hoc requests).

·       Compile transactions summaries and prepare ad hoc reports and presentations for internal use, reflecting transaction status, outcomes, etc. as required by management.

·       Additional execution support to be provided to CACIB’s broader Securitization group, including Clean Energy, Operating Asset (Container, Aviation, Rail), Auto, and Trade Receivable verticals.

 

2.     Pitching, Origination, Support

·       Update and maintain template presentations and credentials

·       Prepare pitch books, in collaboration with other team members, for prospective clients and opportunities.

·       Assist in the preliminary analysis (data reviews, research of rating agency reports/methodologies, economic reports) of prospective asset classes and transaction structures

 

3.     Counterparties and Clients

·       Develop and maintain relationships with i) peers in other parts of the CACIB organization, ii) clients of the bank, and iii) third-parties involved in the transaction process

o   Key Internal Contacts:  Client Coverage bankers, the wider Securitization team, ABS Syndicate, DCM Sales and Trading, Senior Management. Additionally, interact with relevant support functions (risk, operations, credit, and legal departments).

o   Key External Contacts: Securitization clients and prospective clients, legal counsel, third-party auditors, consultants, rating agencies.

 

3.  Management and Reporting

·       Reports to the Global Head of Special Situations and local Special Situations management.

 

 

Salary Range: $100k - $120k

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

College degree with a major in Business/Finance//Economics/ Engineering

Level of minimal experience

0-2 years

Experience

0-1 years of experience with a financial institution (bank/fund/rating agency/insurance). Familiarity with securitization desired but not essential

Required skills

FINRA SIE, Series 7, 63, 79 (can be obtained after hiring). Ability to adapt to and manage evolving timelines; to work within a team as well as act autonomously; sound judgment; strong writing and presentation skills.

 

Technical skills required

Excel; PowerPoint; Bloomberg Terminal; Corporate Finance and Accounting. Prior experience with financial models and cash flows preferred.
