Leveraged Finance Syndicate Associate
About the Role
Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CACIB) is seeking a talented and motivated Leveraged Finance Syndicate Associate to join our Leveraged and Telecom Finance Syndicate team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of CACIB's debt capital markets platform, playing a key role in the origination, pricing, structuring and distribution of Leveraged Loans and High Yield Bonds across EMEA. You will work closely with senior syndicate professionals, origination teams, financial sponsors and the broader investor community to execute high-profile transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution & Syndication
- Support senior team members in executing syndicate activities across Leveraged Loans, HY Bonds and Telecom Finance mandates
- Coordinate with deal teams from the earliest stages of transactions, including pricing comparables analysis, terms review, liquidity assessment and lending pool composition
- Assist in the preparation and production of DAR Opinions, liquidity analyses, invitation letters, status reports, fee schedules, press releases and closing memos
- Arrange lender presentations and roadshows
- Liaise with internal DAR contacts to ensure transactions are registered for Bookrunner League Table credits
Origination Support
- Work alongside senior team members to support Corporate Leveraged Finance (CLF) origination activities
- Help prepare pitch decks and attend pitch meetings with financial sponsors and corporate clients
- Ensure transactions are structured and priced to meet investor market requirements
Investor Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships within the leveraged investor community through calls, meetings and marketing events
- Engage with investors to gauge market sentiment, liquidity and likely reaction to upcoming transactions
- Monitor and report on market trends and developments, producing regular internal and external market updates
What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience in leveraged finance, loan syndications, DCM or a related capital markets role
- Strong understanding of leveraged loan and HY bond markets, structures and documentation
- Ability to analyse pricing comparables, market liquidity and investor dynamics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in producing high-quality transaction materials under tight deadlines
