International Trade and Transaction Banking (ITB) is one of the key financing activities of CACIB. The main goal of ITB is to support Corporate and Financial Institution clients in their day-to-day and working capital optimization needs.

ITB includes several product lines: Global Commodity Finance, Trade Finance, Receivable & Supply Chain Financing, Cash Management and Export Finance.

ITB covers more than 40 geographies and it has newly launched capabilities in Australia. As part of the development of its local set-up, we are looking at an ITB Originator.

The ITB Originator will be responsible for the rollout of ITB product lines in Australia, their successful implementation and commercialization.

In close coordination with the Coverage Teams, ITB Central and Regional Management, the candidate will originate new transactions and support clients’ requirements, providing high quality services to them. He/She will pursue efficient usage of the credit facilities whilst ensuring a close monitoring of the transactions financed by CACIB.

Geographical scope:  Country Inbound and Outbound ITB business.

Scope of products: All products of ITB: Trade Finance, RSF, Export Finance, Commodity Finance, Cash Management.

Scope of clients: Segmented customers of CACIB’s branches and subsidiaries (including France and the international network, Inbound and Outbound) and, on a case-by-case basis, customers from the Credit Agricole Group.

Reporting:

- Functionally: Regional Head of ITB Asia Pacific

- Locally: SCO Australia

·      In coordination with ITB Central and Regional Management:
–         Define the commercial strategies and budgets;
–         Contribute to the local, regional and global strategies of the product lines;
–         Inform and alert of all problems and opportunities; and
–         Propose solutions and execute decisions related to all ITB activities.

·      Contribute to the implementation and ramp-up of the ITB Australia setup:
–         Obtain required local/regional approvals for launch of new ITB products;
–         Manage the ongoing rollout of the ITB activity in Australia along with the ITB Central and Regional Management;
–         Coordinate with support functions the setup of required processes; and
–         Ensure that all controls linked to the activity in place.

·      Originate new ITB transactions in Australia:
–         Works closely with Coverage Teams to generate new deals and build pipeline;
–         Participate in pitches and client visits together with Coverage Teams;
–         Identify new prospects, in line with the strategies of CACIB and ITB Australia;
–         Identifies and monitor Inbound and Outbound opportunities;
–         Ensure commercial proposals are in line with and answer clients’ needs;
–         Negotiation of terms, documentation, pricing with clients with a view to maximize profitability and optimize resources;
–         Being a new business line, the candidate will be required to originate as well as overs

The candidate should have more than 10 years of working experience with strong origination skills in trade finance / commodity finance. Capacity to lead projects / taken-on initiatives will be key.
