The ideal candidate should complete their graduation requirements and is available to start the position from September 2026 onwards. Trainee program is one year to begin with and possible for extension up to 2 years in total, subject to performance and business needs.
The Credit Monitoring & Reporting – Hong Kong team (CMR HK) is a part of the Risk and Permanent Control Department (RPC). RPC-CMR is responsible for the monitoring and the control of counterparty risks generated by the Bank's business activities, the monitoring of the quality of the data used, the establishment and production of reports / dashboards (internal / governance and/or regulatory bodies) on these data concerning 3 entities (i.e. Hong Kong, Australia and Gift City).
Under the supervision of the Head of CMR HKG, the Credit Risk Monitoring Trainee will assist the team in performing all CMR assignments in due time and will help in enhancing the current processes and workflow to gain in production efficiency, both on internal and regulatory aspects.
Key Responsibilities
Post Credit Decision Administration
- Manage authorizations on the local perimeter and to ensure consistency against credit decision
- Ensure the internal and regulatory requirements are met for new/ renewed facilities booked in HK
Post Decision Monitoring and Reporting
- Control of the utilizations against the authorizations and limits through identification, investigation and reporting of anomalies i.e.
- Breaches in approved commercial or capital market limits, whether in amount, nature of products or tenor
- Expired authorizations and late ratings
- Expired or insufficient mitigants
- Overdue Payments
- Delays in achieving the final take in syndicated transactions
- New and unauthorized operations with counterparties in Do Not Deal (DND) or Restricted Dealing (RD) status
- Any other non-compliance with the terms and conditions of a credit decision
- Internal and regulatory reporting
Data Quality Management and Reporting
- Contribute to the overall consistency and quality of risk information related to counterparties, limits, authorizations and utilizations
- Maintain the accuracy of risk data used in internal or regulatory reports and the rectification of any data feeding issues (from local to central database)
- Contribute to the reliability of master agreement data on market operations
- Participate in the reconciliation of the risk databases with the accounting databases, review and report of Weighted Assets
- Analyse data issues
Risk Projects and Studies
Work with CMR AP on different risk topics
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the management from time to time
