Job summary
Capital Market IT (CMI) is in charge of the information systems for Global Markets Division (and affiliated partner support functions) covering all capital markets domains (from pre-trade to post trade through risk management and regulatory reportings). CMI covers all IT activities, ensuring applicative support to end-users, maintenance and evolution of the information system including ambitious and innovative transformation programs to accompany business growth while protecting and reinforcing current best-in class business franchises. Capital Market IT teams are distributed across the world, currently in Paris, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York.
In perspective of Global Markets Division (GMD) ambitions, Capital Market IT is looking to reinforce its presence in North America, consolidating and reinforcing its workforce namely on Fixed Income e-trading, pricing and booking activities (Rates, Bonds, Repos). This new setup will encompass build and run activities, fostering autonomy while leveraging on global systems with a target of 30+ headcounts in 2026.
As such, CMI is hiring its local IT Head of Flow Products Domain based in Montreal, Canada who will be responsible for putting in place a resilient and sustainable setup in line with CMI global sourcing strategy while embracing GMD new stakes. This position will be a permanent member of CMI Montreal board.
Local reporting to: Head of CMI Montreal
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead Flow Product Domain local setup resources ensuring the right balance between sourcing ambitions, business needs and skills
· Put in place the proper leadership structure to develop Flow Product Domain setup and reach CMI sourcing ambitions in accordance with global CMI sourcing strategy
· Build and adjust sourcing capacity given business and IT constraints
· Contribute to proper onboarding of contractors with the help of Procurement
· Develop and accompany talents in their mission
· Foster an environment of trust and empowerment where transparency, feedbacks, open communication and innovated mindset are encouraged
Focus teams on delivery based on business value and core IT capacities
· Promote agility, product ownership and strong proximity with the business
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement, be it around software factories, run activities or developer experience leveraging on Agility, Software Craftsmanship and DevSecOps
· Foster an environment where technology watch and best practices sharing are encouraged
Supplementary Information
Guarantee a high-quality production service and a proactive follow-up of incidents and remediation actions
· Ensure best practices for production follow-up, monitoring and tracking are respected as well as a very proactive follow-up of incidents (applicative or infrastructure) and related action plans.
· Ensure an accurate, exhaustive and transparent reporting to CMI Head Office and local managements.
· Manage proactively technical debt by launching remediation or improvement actions in agreement with the business
· Ensure a very proactive management of obsolescence and vulnerabilities on the scope of applications covered locally in sync with the head office
Be a trusted partner for the business
· Be identified by the business as a key partner on business initiatives and IT advisory and strategy
· Ensure all projects / activities / tasks under IT responsibility are executed within IOS / CMI quality and reporting standards
· Provide transparency on project / production statuses to business partners and warn on any potential milestone postponement / budget overshoot risks and propose mitigation solutions
· Manage the local budget for Flow Product Domain and allocate the appropriate execution capacity to reach GMD and CMI objectives
· Set up a local governance with the business to provide local and global updates and health statuses on project / production / … subjects in mirror to the monthly Domain Committee
