Summary
This Trainee position provides you opportunity to be in charge of the following and control of operational risk management for APAC & ME (Middle East) OPC processes.
This opening is for those who will complete their degree requirements by summer 2025 and are ready to start working from September 2025 onwards. Trainee program is one year to begin with and possible for extension up to 2 years in total, subject to performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
As OPC/ORT in HK
- To assist the ORM to coordinate and elaborate an independent control plan (level 2.2 control) in order to take into account main operational risks areas
- To perform a review of the control plan depending on changes in the controlled environment in terms of organization, internal rules, regulation…
- To perform the defined control, report the anomalies to ORM
- To coordinate the investigation operational incidents reported by OPC operational teams and follow implementation of actions plans
- To support the ORM to perform the operational risk mapping in relation with Asia RPC Operational Risk Management (MRO)
- To follow key risks indicators
- To monitor and report the level 1 and 2.1 controls through the permanent monitoring tool
- To prepare and maintain the Operational Risk Management KPI
As OPC/ORM as regional role (APAC & ME)
- To assist the ORM to review the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and ORM processes within the teams
- To maintain the awareness of the OPC staffs (i.e.: training)

Academic qualification / Speciality
University Degree or equivalent in Finance/Risks with less than 12 months of working experience
Level of minimal experience

Experience
Experience in post-trade operations sector and/or in risks function would be a plus
Required skills
- Ability to work independently and with various kind of interlocutors
- Good analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Need to be very rigorous in terms of analysing and reporting
- Excellent sense of urgency and prioritization; able to challenge OPC managers’ analysis
Technical skills required
- Knowledge of products processed by OPC and of post-trade environment
- Versatile with PC tools and applications, e.g. Outlook, Power BI, Word & Excel
Languages
English speaking, reading and writing. French is a plus
