The Coverage & Investment Banking Division (CIB) sits at the centre of the client franchise. Within this unit, Multinational Client Coverage (MNC) focuses on global corporate clients, operating across multiple geographic regions. Its role is to originate and orchestrate activity across the bank’s business lines by understanding client strategy, anticipating funding and risk needs, and coordinating internal specialists and stakeholders, and critically by leveraging the strength of our global network.
Our Coverage team partners with some of the most dynamic internationally focused companies in the Australian marketplace, with a client base that includes both public and privately held companies. The team continues to deliver outstanding results and is focused on providing consistently high levels of support to existing and new clients, to continue the growth trajectory of CACIB’s Australian Branch.
As a Vice President level originator, you will manage a portfolio of multinational corporate clients within Australia and throughout our network. You will be a relationship manager within the team, and as such demonstrate skills learned from your professional experience. Relevant knowledge of the Australian market will be an important factor in your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a portfolio of high profile and complex MNC client relationships in Australia & New Zealand resulting in the delivery of strong financial outcomes and solutions with excellent client service and engagement.
- Engage with multiple touchpoints within our client base, including senior executives, to build and maintain strong relationships, identify client needs, and position CACIB’s solutions accordingly.
- Onboard new clients, coordinating the process from prospecting to documentation and implementation
- Maintain knowledge of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, political, procedural and regulatory.
- Work with MNC leadership, client HQ bankers and product stakeholders to deliver the best of CACIB to our clients
- Maintain a strong focus on financial and non-financial risk management, best practices and sound governance and controls, escalate and speak up when required.
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
- Ensure all incidents are promptly reported to your manager.
