Global Markets Trainee - FX & Rates Macro Financial Institution Sales (One Year Contract)

The Macro Sales team covers institutional clients across Asia on rates and FX. We provide market colour, trade ideas and execution across government bonds, interest-rate derivatives, FX and government repo products, working closely with Trading, Research and other internal partners.
We are looking for a trainee to join the team and work directly alongside senior salespeople covering global asset managers, hedge funds, insurers and banks. This is a practical, immersive role built to develop the next generation of sales talent.
The ideal candidate should complete their graduation requirements and is available to start the position from Sep 2026 onwards. Trainee program is one year to begin with and possible for extension up to 2 years in total, subject to performance and business needs. At the end of the program, you will be considered for a permanent role based on your performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support senior sales on daily coverage: market updates, trade ideas, pitch materials and client notes
Monitor rates, FX and rates repo markets (including Asia local markets such as HKD, CNH and KRW) and flag relevant moves, flows and opportunities
Assist with trade execution, booking, recaps and post-trade follow-up
Help with client onboarding, KYC and coordination with Trading, Research, Middle Office and Operations
Maintain flow records, activity reports and other management information
Join client meetings and calls as appropriate and take on increasing coverage over time
