Mission Statement and position Summary:
The Compliance Department of CACIB Americas is seeking an experienced candidate to play an integral role in supporting CACIB’s global businesses on US regulatory change matters. The candidate will be a key coordinator of the Regulatory Watch process, which includes identifying material changes in the US regulatory landscape, advising and communicating to internal stakeholders on new regulatory requirements, and facilitating applicability reviews and impact assessments. In addition, the Regulatory Watch team supports the Firm’s regulatory change management by tracking, advising on and overseeing internal efforts to implement new or updated regulatory requirements. The candidate will participate to the monitoring conducted by the Regulatory Watch team of external developments from regulators, industry professionals, and peer firms.
The candidate will have high visibility and will be working closely with all teams within the Bank. The candidate will have a background in legal or compliance and experience both with the laws, rules and regulations applicable to foreign banking institutions and securities and derivatives dealers. The individual should be familiar with foreign banking organizations operating within the US and have a deep understanding of the applicable regulations. The individual must also be capable of effectively communicating with executives and colleagues across various lines of business and throughout a global Compliance organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Regulatory Watch process, under the support of the Head of Regulatory Watch, and work closely with internal stakeholders across business and support functions
- Identify amended or new laws, rules, and regulations and other regulatory guidance relevant to CACIB activities
- Perform applicability reviews of laws, rules and regulations with Compliance Advisory teams and impacted businesses and support functions
- Facilitate impact assessments of laws, rules and regulations by providing advice and expertise on rule changes
- Develop and produce presentations of new regulatory requirements to support business analysis of changes required to internal processes and controls
- Participate to external industry working groups to gather regulatory guidance and market intelligence
- Track regulatory changes and support impacted businesses and support functions throughout implementation efforts
- Maintain and update the inventory of Laws, Rules, and Regulations applicable to CACIB US entities and activities used to perform the Compliance Risk Assessment
- Prepare, update and review Policies and Procedures
Provide input to New Activity and Product Committee process related to applicable laws, rules and regulations

Experience
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a regulatory agency, a comparable banking organization or law firm working on Banking or Capital Markets regulatory topics
- Experienced in understanding rules and regulations, regulatory guidance, rulemaking comments, and industry practices and effectively communicate to internal stakeholders
- Strong understanding of regulatory change management process and best practices
- US Markets Regulations (SEC, FINRA, CFTC, NFA) and/or Banking Regulations (FRB, NYDFS, OCC)
- Strong analytical and communication skills required as well as the ability to work autonomously and to cooperate/work effectively across all disciplines in the bank.
- Capable of leading multiple and simultaneous ad-hoc requests
- Strong analytical skills and a capacity to translate technical and complex issues in a straightforward manner for broader audiences
- Result-oriented: setting goals and priorities that maximize the use of resources available to consistently deliver quality results.
- Knowledge of and experience in the main activities of corporate and investment banking services such as commercial financing, debt and equity capital markets, merger and acquisitions services, derivatives and secondary markets, structured finance, trade finance, etc.
