Job summary
Summary
- The Capital Markets electronic offering is a means to deliver the commercial and product strategy to its clients and enhance the depth and breadth of commercial relationships. In this context, the eSales team is a specialised, strategy and client-centric team, supporting the bank’s distribution strategy in its electronic dimension.
- eSales – Fixed Income is a key stakeholder in the definition and rollout of the eFI client and product strategy. The role will focus on Credit and Repo products and the candidate will work alongside a more experienced team member (mutual back-up).
Key responsibilities are:
- Understand clients needs and evolving trading strategies to guide the bank’s distribution strategy
- Partner with internal and external clients to solve problems and contribute to growth generation
- Lead change management efforts across the bank to extract value from market electronification and available data
Key Responsibilities
1. eFI Distribution Strategy
a. Focusing on Fixed Income products (Credit and Repo primarily), contribute to the definition of the eFI product and client strategy using feedback from clients as their electronic trading strategies evolve
b. Extract value from the continuous FI market electronification, through cross-selling and cross-fertilisation with voice activity
2. External Relationships
a. Team up with voice Sales to meet customers and promote the bank’s electronic offering as well as understand clients’ ‘e’ needs
b. Be the primary contact point for client-related business on electronic trading platforms
c. Understand and institutionalise the client’s dealer selection process to drive the commercial strategy
d. Participate actively to the ‘e’ market community and provide intelligence to relevant Product Lines (on market structure, trends etc.)
e. Have a proactive approach to internal and external marketing
3. Performance Tracking
a. Contribute to the development of statistics on electronic distribution performance at the relevant level (product, client, country), in partnership with eFI Product Manager and Sales
b. Use client information and data to solve problems and ensure adherence to the commercial strategy
c. Lead the electronic activity input into business initiatives and provide ‘e’ information/data to be actioned
4. Electronic Product Distribution
a. Take ownership for the ‘e’-related commercial action items of eFI product and client action plans defined with Sales and Trading and provide regular feedback to internal stakeholders
b. Have a standardised and systematic approach to reviewing eFI client setup (spreads, user enablement etc.) to ensure monetisation of FI electronic flows.
c. Disseminate market information internally and drive the bank’s adaptation to new business models / paradigms
d. In some cases, assist in product development initiatives to facilitate project completion
