Summary
- Assist the seniors in the origination of new business for the department on Corporate & Leveraged Finance, including leveraged and TMT loans, Corporate Event-driven financing, and fund-financing transactions
- Support the Rating and Capital Structure Advisory activity (modelling, pitch books, research etc.)
- Support deal execution as a capacity of financial advisor, arranger, underwriter or other roles (agent, etc.) throughout the Asia-Pacific region
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction execution: Negotiation of the term sheet; preparation of credit process; financial modelling and documentation; ongoing monitoring of portfolio transaction
- Research, marketing and the preparation of proposals or presentations to prospective clients
- Drafting and follow-up of business opportunity memo, credit applications and annual reviews
- Generally, assistance to the teams in all commercial, execution, marketing and reporting / budgeting functions
- Support and guide the more junior members of the team
- Travel and irregular over-time work will be required
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
- Refrain from taking any steps which could lead to the removal of certification of fitness and properness to perform the role.
- Undertake all necessary steps to satisfy the annual certification process.
- Comply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by the relevant regulator.
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant discipline
At least 4 to 6 years’ relevant experience in leveraged, TMT & acquisition finance or M&A, syndicated loan origination
