Job summary

Summary

 

We are seeking an Intern to join our Corporate and Leveraged Finance Team. This role involves potential rotations among three specialised teams (Corporate Loan origination, acquisition finance and advisory and fund solution groups). We are seeking candidates who demonstrate proficiency in excel and PowerPoint, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

 

The three specialised teams will include:

 

  • Assist in the origination of syndicated and bilateral loans for large corporate clients across Western Europe (UK, Benelux, Nordics, and Switzerland), Central & Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.
  • Support the team responsible for acquisition and event-driven financing across the UK, Nordics, and the Middle East.
  • Help in the origination of Fund Finance solutions for major international private equity, infrastructure, and real estate funds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior officers in the origination of new mandates and marketing activities.
  • Draft internal credit requests and assist in due diligence.
  • Conduct financial and capital structure analysis, including financial models and rating assessments.
  • Perform borrower research and comparable transaction analysis to assess/price new transactions.
  • Calculate transaction profitability using the bank's internal tools.
  • Assist in the Know-Your-Customer validation process of borrowers when needed.
  • Update credentials database including league tables and tombstones.
  • Assist with the preparation of regular activity reports and quarterly market reviews.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Experience

• If you already have some experience within banking, preferably in lending/debt or corporate finance will be advantageous.

Required skills

• You can demonstrate a high degree of care, teamwork, motivation, flexibility and the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Technical skills required

• You are proficient in word, excel and PowerPoint.
