Job summary

Within the Capital Markets IT (CMI) department of Global IT (GIT) which manages the information system for capital markets activities (pre-trade, post-trade, risks), the structured & Sales (Sales) Filière covers application support, maintenance and developments of the application information system.

 

Our missions are around:

 

·       Pre-Trade workflows with multiple Sales-Traders applications dedicated by product and a global blotter to centralize all the transactions done in one tool.

·       A global application to monitor the commercial activity of Capital Markets, called Omega, in coordination with the Marketing/Sales/e-business/Middle Office departments. This application is used by Sales to manage their transactions, their sales margins and their performance.

It is a central system; it covers all financial products and transactions carried out by CACIB with a commercial margin and all over the world.

·       Another essential activity to the sales business around regulatory requirements; we are in charge of the necessary tools to meet the requirements of the PRIIPS, MIFID II and ESG regulations.

 

As a Team Lead within the Sales Filière, you are responsible for the management and coordination of functional and technical deliveries. You act as the functional and technical referent of the team with responsibility for developments. You share with our business partners the technological challenges around the solutions to meet their expectations, the opportunities and the potential risks.

 

You are responsible for quality, costs and delivery deadlines. You ensure the adequacy between the need expressed by the business and the solutions proposed by IT.

 

You encourage initiative and innovation within the team while ensuring compliance with standards and design.

 

You report to the IT Division Manager of the Structured & Sales Filière based in Paris.

 

Manage the delivery for the Montreal team

·       Lead Agile ceremonies, define and monitor deliverable milestones, ensure actions are prioritized

·       Identify risks and ensure they are properly addressed

·       Make sure we have the proper setup to match our business needs

 

Support the technical and functional resources made available in achieving their objectives

·       Create an environment of trust that promotes open communication, innovation, and the right to make mistakes

·       Establish a framework that promotes autonomy, creativity, risk-taking, and continuous improvement

·       Support the development of skills of new arrivals and junior resources

·       Help team members resolve their technical or functional issues

·       Participate in the review of functional specifications

·       Participate in the code review process

·       Help support resources in their day-to-day work

Supplementary Information

Be responsible for the design of the solutions implemented by the resources at your disposal
·       Help other team members to design the most optimized functional and technical solutions in terms of design, maintainability, monitoring and simplicity
·       Validate the functional and technical design of the solutions while integrating a data-centric dimension
·       Contribute with the architects to the definition of the standards for implementing the IS for Sales and more generally for CMI
·       Promote a culture of technological monitoring to stay in line with the latest IT evolution

 


Be responsible of the functional and technical quality as well as the maintainability of the applications developed
·       Promote continuous improvement of our software factories based on agility, Software Craftsmanship and the principles of SecDevOps
·       Be a driving force for proactive management of technical debt by proposing remediation and continuous improvement actions
·       Promote systematic testing practices (TDD / BDD / DDD)

 


Ensures the stability and monitoring of production KPIs
·       Ensures that major incidents, incidents, requests and problems are properly taken into account and tracked in CMI's standard quality management tools
·       In the event of a major incident, ensures communication with the business and the resolution of the incident as well as the associated remediation plans, budgets and priorities
