The Compliance Analyst supports the Head of Compliance/Local Compliance Officer (LCO) in executing the Branch's compliance framework, with a primary focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and Know Your Client (KYC) obligations.
This role is critical in safeguarding the organisation against financial crime risk and ensuring adherence to Australian Prudential standards. This encompasses activities across the different Compliance areas: AML/CTF/KYC, Sanctions, Privacy, Corporations Act, Prudential Standards and international laws.
You will be required to execute Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening and Compliance Control Plan in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements, as well as advice provision on established policies and procedures. Regulatory project management may also be required which will require timeline, action point driving and project governance facilitation work.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and assess AML/CFT typologies and red flags to proactively identify and mitigate emerging financial crime risks
Provide comprehensive AML/CFT compliance opinions on higher-risk files, transactions, and business activities
Review, investigate, and process alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems (Fircosoft) in line with Group sanction requirements
Conduct searches on transactions and files via Factiva Dow Jones and Worldcheck
Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk clients, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and complex ownership structures
Identify, assess, and escalate suspicious matters in accordance with AUSTRAC reporting obligations, including Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) and Threshold Transaction Reports (TTRs)
Assist in maintaining and updating the Branch's AML/CTF Program in line with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth)
Prepare the draft compliance opinion form and conduct the consistency checking on KYC documents
Involvement in regulatory projects with reference to project management aspects such as reporting, timeline progression and meeting governance
Assist in providing policy, procedure and compliance advice to the business lines and support functions
Collaborate with regional and Head Office teams to seek advice and drive consistency across the Group and APAC region
Ensure timely completion and submission of reports and documents to the Australian regulators (where the reporting / submission is connected to CPL themes and topics)
Devise a business-oriented compliance culture via training facilitation
Ensure proper and timely tracking and closure of internal audit and regulatory observations / recommendations
Perform compliance monitoring / testing / control

To assume the functions of Head of RPC Japan, responsible for the management of the Risk Management Division locally, responsible of the follow-up, monitoring and reporting of all the counterparty, market, and operational risks borne by CA-CIB Japan in all its activities.
To build and maintain a good working relationship with business lines, coverage bankers and Senior Country Officer to anticipate risks, to manage business in a sound manner, and to disseminate the Risk culture of CA-CIB.

To proactively manage the portfolio with on-going monitoring and reporting of any risk event on a counterparty or an industry, in order to recommend/take both pre-emptive and follow-up actions.

Key Responsibilities

1.     Strategy and Business Planning

To act as the unique RPC representative in Japan vis-à-vis the management and the other departments of the unit, as well as vis-à-vis third parties, for maintaining adequate Human Resources, for participating to the BCP and for other daily administrative matters; to attend various committees relevant to its Risk and Permanent Control function, including but not limited to, Market Risk Committee, Business Committee, Credit Risk Committee, Internal Control Committee, Risk Anomalies Committee, ALM Committee and etc.

To manage, supervise and coordinate all the local RPC functions (SCS, FSP, CMR, MAM, MRO) as defined in the respective Job Descriptions of these functions; to review their reports and make necessary improvements; to attend their meetings; to adequately review &amp; update local policies &amp; procedures under RPC responsibilities.

To maintain a good quality of the portfolio through:
- To lead Risk portfolio reviews &amp; participate in CSP reviews for risk appetite defining 
- Proactively manage the portfolio with on-going monitoring, reporting of counterparty or industrial sector risk events with pre-emptive &amp;/or follow-up actions.
- To alert the local management and CRO APAC about any possible degradation of risks in the Country
- To maintain integrity of risk data and parameters and monitoring the annual review cycle of the counterparties and guarantors of the Country and their rating process through monthly reporting to CRO APAC and monthly alerts to the local Management.
 - Monitoring of Market Risks and of respect of limits imposed on traders.

To coordinate and supervise the implementation in Japan of all CA-CIB projects (e.g. Basle IV, FRTB, evolution of Risk systems infrastructure, evolution of Risk methodologies and processes);

The Corporate Planning at Crédit Agricole Japan is responsible for the good implementation of the franchise’s strategy locally, and follow up of the performance, in direct support of the Japan Senior Country Officer (SCO).
It is notably in charge of implementing cross-function initiatives to ensure good internal communication across departments and drive the achievement of the aforementioned objectives. As part of its responsibilities, it also oversees all communication initiatives taken locally, be it internal (staff event, communication on internal newsletter and intranet, etc.) as well as external (client events, relation with external stakeholders including the press), in coordination with the global and regional Communication teams. It also directly supports the SCO in his various functions, notably by producing reports, presentation material or speeches.
As a Communication Assistant within the Corporate Planning, your role will mainly focus on helping the team on Communication initiatives, including client or staff event, promotion of the franchise activities internally or externally, and assist the Department in its various strategic tasks in support of the SCO’s responsibilities.
Your Missions : 
Client event : Help the department to organize strategic client events, from inception to implementation and follow up.
Staff event : Help the department to organize staff events, from inception to implementation and follow up.
Communication : Produce content for internal and when applicable external channels of communication of the bank.
Performance follow-up and SCO assistance : Help the department in its production of reports as well as completion of ad-hoc tasks in support of the Senior Country Officer.
To be eligible for the VIE :
- Be under 28 years old
- Have a Master's degree
- Be a citizen of the EU

Distribution &amp; Asset Rotation (DAR) is responsible for structuring and arranging syndicated loans as well as Medium and Long-Term bilateral facilities across a broad range of asset classes, including corporate, LBO, data center, aviation, shipping, real estate, and project finance.
