We are seeking an Intern to provide essential support for the business conducted by our International Trade Banking (ITB) and Corporate Leverage Finance (CLF) departments. This role is crucial for acting as a liaison between the Front Offices of certain Business Lines and the Back Office, assisting in the execution and ongoing administration of financial facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong competencies in areas such as communication, negotiation and organisational skills, which are vital for this role.

Key Responsibilities are but are not limited to:

Review and comment on draft documentation for new transactions to ensure operational compatibility with department requirements, highlighting areas for further discussion with the Front Office
Liaise with Client Liaison (Back Office) on account openings and ensure all necessary credit approvals and checks are completed before establishing new credit lines or accounts
Manage the confirmation process of Conditions Precedents being met, under the supervision of a senior analyst, and ensure compliance with facility documentation
Maintain strong relationships with borrowers and banking pools, managing communications and coordinating payments
Handle fee treatments with Finance, prepare Transmission Sheets for risk and back office teams, and ensure all documentation is properly filed and secured
Book and maintain trades in FCS Systems as required and keep diary systems up to date for all portfolio actions

As a VIE (International Volunteer), you will assist senior bankers at the Belgian branch and the representative office in the Netherlands in managing their portfolio of multinational corporate clients (MNC).


Your main tasks will be as follows:

• Assist the MNC coverage bankers in day to day operations.

• Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer/Compliance Officer. 
• Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Key Responsibilities

As an active member of the Global Markets Communications team, you will work on all matters related to communication activities, with a specific focus on client events and conferences.

Event Management (internal event, client event, sponsored conference)

Manage and the full event management process, for conferences, client events and entertainment, digital or in-person:

Prepare a detailed proposal including cost estimate, budget management and timeline
Liaise with third party providers when needed
Design and manage event website (Eventogy, Evenium)
Provide regular status report to event stakeholders, including delegate registration updates
Oversee all logistics aspects and keep stakeholders informed about the event’s progress

In particular: run the corporate access component of 3 proprietary conferences in Paris, all three also requiring on-site presence in Paris: 24 June, 26 September, and 9-10 December 2026.

Content creation

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainable finance and investment banking within a dynamic and purpose-driven environment. The role is based in London, covering predominantly UK clients along with a select number of Irish and Swiss-based clients. The main competencies required include a proactive and curious mindset, a strong understanding of sustainable finance, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key responsibilities that are, but are not limited to:

Support the SIB UK Lead in the origination of sustainable finance opportunities, including developing client presentations, conducting ESG risk assessments on new transactions, and tracking developments in sustainable finance regulation
Manage the business pipeline and structure sustainable finance frameworks while engaging with Second Party Opinion providers and ESG investors
Conduct research and analysis on ESG trends, sustainable finance regulations, and industry best practices to inform business development efforts
Develop presentations for client meetings and standard materials for external and internal marketing
Assist in preparing Sustainable Finance Frameworks and Impact Reporting indicators for clients seeking to issue sustainable finance debt instruments
Contribute to ESG risk assessments and due diligence by referencing the bank's internal sustainable finance guidelines in collaboration with internal teams
Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Corporate and Leveraged Finance (CLF), and Energy and Real Asset (ERA), to integrate sustainability into financial solutions
Assist in identifying bankable opportunities for clients and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, such as ESG research publications and training sessions&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG). This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate banking, financial analysis, and relationship management within a global financial environment.

Key responsibilities
1. Support for Senior Banker &amp; RM
Assist Senior Banker &amp; RM in FIG-related work
Conduct open-source research on relevant businesses and gather market information to draft, create, and edit memos, notes, and reports

2. KYC &amp; RLC Management
Cooperate with GMD Onboarding and GRM Teams on the creation and maintenance of KYC &amp; RLC
Keep KYC &amp; RLC databases up to date by providing updated and accurate data
Perform due diligence and financial analysis of potential, existing, and newly on-boarding FI clients
Manage and meet deadlines for each KYC file

3. Internal &amp; External Coordination
Maintain close liaison with various internal parties and customers to provide necessary assistance and information

4. Transaction &amp; Product Support
Provide timely assistance in commercial transactions and support GMD products.
Monitor, update, and verify credit limits and outstanding balances for Korean banks

5. Reporting &amp; Data Integrity
Assist Senior Banker &amp; RM in updating FIG reports on the Intranet
Verify the accuracy of data and take corrective measures on any discovered discrepancies

6. Market Intelligence
Assist to provide Senior Banker &amp; RM with relevant information to keep them updated on market changes

7. Committee &amp; Administrative Tasks
Participate as a member of the Weekly Business Committee to consolidate the updated deal status of business lines
Draft and distribute Committee Minutes
Assist with other FIG-related work and perform administrative tasks&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

8.       Cross check and valid OPTIM contractual documentation.
