Context and Job Characteristics:
Within the Market Risk Department, Equity Risk Management ensures the monitoring, analysis, control and reporting of results and market risks related to Equity market activities and Equity derivatives

Main Responsibilities:
The Asia Equity Risk Management Analyst is integrated into the global RM Equity team, responsible for Equity Solution and GRI (Global Repo and Indexing) activities. The analyst controls and analyzes market risks and results. They participate in the review of market limits and report limit breaches. The analyst also contributes to valuation methodologies, calculation of adjustment reserves, and parameter control methodologies

Primary Duties:
Alerts the Head of Market Risk Asia on important events, market risk exposures or abnormal situations
Analysis, monitoring and supervision of daily production of results explanations
Analysis, monitoring and supervision of risks and notification of limit breaches
Analysis and validation of new operations / one-offs
Contribute / Participate material and presentations at the Asia Market Risk Committee
Definition and evolution of market risk measurement methodologies and reserves/adjustments specific to products handled within GRI Equity and/or EIS scope
Annual review of limits

Secondary Duties:
Production and analysis of market risks
Calculation of reserves for GRI Equity / EIS scope
Semi-annual and annual business activity reviews
Participation in implementing regulatory changes (FRTB...)
Responding to regulator requests (AQR, EBA Stress, QIS etc...)
Improvement and implementation of risk analysis and monitoring tools

Summary

Summary
The Global Investment Banking (“GIB”) Asia-Pacific (“APAC”) team is responsible for our Investment Banking business in the APAC region and covering the following 3 business lines:
Advisory in Mergers &amp; Acquisitions (“M&amp;A”): buy/sell-side advisory
Equity Capital Markets (“ECM”): IPOs, capital increases, secondary listings in HK, Convertible Bonds, etc.
Structured Financial Solutions (“SFS”): monetization of financial assets presenting specific complexities

Key Responsibilities

Performance monitoring: work with the Business Lines during the origination process, validate the profitability computation for new loans. Ensure consistent approach in profitability computation in particular for derogatory pricing, maintaining a database of historical derogatory pricing. Contribute to ex-post profitability analysis prepared by the team for senior management. 

Financial steering: support senior team members in monitoring the usage of scarce resource within APAC (Capital, Liquidity, RWA, Balance-sheet size etc.), developing metrics and regular ad hoc analyses to identify APAC P&amp;L drivers, and levers for profitability improvements. Monitor forecast landing vs. budget, for all metrics followed by team (NBI, RWA, profitability etc.). Track the economic benefits expected from scarce resource allocation. Asset &amp; Liability Management (ALM): produce all ALM related indicators used by team to monitor ALM risks, including presentation material used for the monthly regional Liquidity Risk Committee. Summary
The Intern will support the Asia Pacific (APAC) Financial &amp; Strategic Steering (PIL) team in carrying out its various missions including the Asset Liability Management (ALM), performance monitoring, Fund Transfer Pricing and financial steering. The incumbent will develop an overview of the Bank business in the region, while gaining exposure to a large number of internal stakeholders, from both Front Office and Support Function across Asia Pacific.
The start date of internship will be 1 July 2026.  

Key Responsibilities
1. Asset &amp; Liability Management (ALM): produce all ALM related indicators used by team to monitor ALM risks. Support team in preparing presentation material such as the ones used for the monthly regional Liquidity Risk Committee, as well as in preparing any ad hoc analysis on hot topics.
2. Financial steering: support senior team members in monitoring the usage of scarce resource within APAC (Capital, Liquidity, RWA, Balance-sheet size etc.), developing metrics and regular ad hoc analyses to identify APAC P&amp;L drivers, and levers for profitability improvements.
3. Tool enhancement: Identify, propose and implement process and tools improvement to lower the production workload of the team, upgrading the existing Excel / Power BI tools/processes, developing new solutions to better address needs of the team

Summary

Key Responsibilities
Financial Performance
Conduct monthly performance analyses covering revenue, profitability metrics, expenses, and resource utilization at both country and regional level for senior management
Support regional management in the annual budget preparation, and any ad hoc performance related requests
Provide advice on scarce resources' optimization to Coverage, Business Lines, Country Heads in particular proposing optimization strategies on liquidity costs, and in relation to asset allocation / rotation
Provide advice and validation on profitability indicators to Coverage and Business lines for APAC transactions presented to either the Regional Credit Risk Committee (CRC) or Head Office CRC, particularly on RWA consumption, liquidity cost parameters, etc
Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP)
Review and update APAC-specific FTP policies with local stakeholders
Monitor the ALM PNL result, notably on the Liquidity invoicing/costs component for each APAC location, explaining any divergence with budget
Asset and Liability Management
Monitor and consolidate ALM risks (Liquidity, rate, FX, Capital, etc.), including compliance with local ALM-related regulation, and abidance by CACIB ALM principles
Propose and implement ALM risks hedges in conjunction with FIN/EXM, ensuring the best usage of scarce resources, analyzing the cost/benefit of managing liquidity gaps and capitalization level, referring to the ALM P&amp;L impact as well as to entities/franchise’s profitability
Prepare ALM materials and communication notably the Liquidity Risk Committee and/or ALM Committee (ALCO)
Produce FIN/ALM opinion in relation to the NAP process workflow and country CSP
Identify, propose and implement process and tools improvement to lower the production workload of the team, foster innovation culture in the team and FIN&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Summary

The main missions of Risk and Permanent Control (RPC) are to:
analyse, measure and provide an independent opinion on all risks (excluding legal and reputation risks) incurred by the Bank e.g. credit (including country and portfolio), market or liquidity risks
lead and supervise the permanent control system, by proposing relevant limit framework for credit, market and liquidity risks
monitor and measure operational risks.
This Trainee role will support the Regional Chief Risk Officer Asia Pacific to facilitate the implementation of the cross-functional subjects / initiatives as well as regulatory requirements across the Asia Pacific Region, and to ensure transversal communications between the different risk teams, eliminating the creation of silos.
The ideal candidate should complete their graduation requirements by January 2026 and is available to start the position from February 2026. Trainee program is one year to begin with and possible for extension up to 2 years in total, subject to performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Development of a monthly risk dashboard and its production;
Regulatory surveillance i.e. monitoring of the introduction of new regulations / changes in existing regulations across the Asia Pacific network. Presentations on the significant evolutions to the Regional Management and the concerned Risk Teams and training on these topics;
Coordination of the implementation of new regulatory requirements (ex: Climate Risk, model Risk…);
Coordinating the responses to inspections and findings arising out of inspections, in-depth reviews, thematic investigations, close supervision meetings and other requests for information from regulators in coordination with Head Office and relevant RPC teams.
